1. The Largest Animal: The Blue Whale


The blue whale is 98 feet in length and weights 180 metric tons. The blue whales tongue weights 2.7 metric tons and it's heart is the size of a mini cooper. It is thought that the blue whale eats 40 million krill a and consumes 1.5 million calories per day.

2. The Heaviest Land Animal: The African Bush Elephant


The African Elephant is the biggest land animal between 19.7 and 24.6 ft in length, 10.8 ft in height, and weights 13,000 lb. The females are a little smaller and the adult elephant doesn't have any natural predators, but the babies are vulnerable to lion, panther, and crocodile attacks.

The giraffe is the tallest living land animal measuring in at 16-20 ft tall and has an average weight 3,500 lb for males. The neck makes up 6 to 7 ft of the height and is made up of one elongated vertebra.

#4 The Largest Reptile In The World: The Saltwater Crocodile


The salt water crocodile is the largest living reptile, and is found in Northern Australia, South East Asia, and the Eastern coast of India. An adult male crocodile typically weights between 900-2200 lb and is 13-18 ft long. In certain cases the salt water crocodile can weight more and be longer then thoughts limits. It is an apex predator so that means it can take on almost any animal in it's area.

#5 The Largest Amphibian In The World: The Chinese Giant Salamander


The Chinese giant salamander is the largest salamander in the world. It can reach a length of 6 ft even though that rarely happens now. Found in mountain streams and lakes in China it is considered critically endangered because of habitat loss, pollution, and over-collecting, because it is considered a delicacy and used in medicines.
